The upside of buying trendy pieces are that they are often a bargain and easily available, the downside- everyone owns 'em. We have one word for you- reform, and here's how we did it to create these looks...
A short pleated skirt should be a staple in your summer wardrobe because it can be used as a layering piece, yes layering. In this look Spriha wore her pleated white skirt to convert a long muscle tee into a short, flirty dress- complete with a pearl necklace and all white accessories. Who knew a muscle tee could look sophisticated?
Also trending this summer are prints- from flora to flamingos. Prints are often bold and loud, but they don't have to be. One subtle print that can give your outfit an instant update is the gingham. They can be mixed with other prints or worn with a more monotonous ensemble to make the print the centerpiece. I paired mine with a pair of frayed jeans that I absolutely love from J brand and gave the look a little pop of color by painting my nails red and wearing red lips.
The lesson: don't be afraid to buy those trendy pieces, just be creative!
