Summer in Charleston, South Carolina

This is our second trip to Charleston and I cannot even begin to tell you how much I love this charming city. The people are very friendly and the food is amazing... What else do you need right?

On our first day we checked into The Spectator Hotel which I highly recommend if you want a fabulous hotel in historic downtown Charleston. The service was impeccable and I loved how they served breakfast in your room every morning. Breakfast in bed is one of my favorite things when I am on vacation. We rode around the city on bikes which the hotel provided as well.  I thought it was such a good way to see the city and we didn't have to go find a bike (so convenient!). This hotel was named the best city hotel in the US by US News and I agree with it completely!

Here are few things I think you should do and see when in Charleston.

Food: My top five Restaurants: Butcher and Bees, Daily, Harold's Cabin , 167 Raw and Lewis BBQ.

Drinks: Belmont is my favorite bar on Kings street.

Ice cream: Jeni's

Beach: Sullivan Island

Walk around Historic Charleston and make sure to go see Aiken Rhett house.

Whether by biking or walking, you must see all of the charming homes on the battery. We biked in the evening and watched the sunset. It was gorgeous!

This warp dress just felt right in Charleston. The floral print with ruffles screams summer and romance. It was the right dress for the right place.
